A bill facilitating the settlement of claims due to natural catastrophes

Following the 2003 summer heat wave whose costs rose to 1.250 billion EUR (1.54 billion USD) for insurers, the authorities have been scrutinizing a bill that shall modify the insurance scheme of natural catastrophes in order to facilitate claim compensations. The creation of a public/private partnership is among the options on the table.
