Caisse Centrale de Réassurance (CCR) has submitted its fourth annual report on the insurability of extreme and emerging risks to the French government.
The report outlines 14 recommendations aimed at strengthening the natural catastrophe (NatCat) compensation system.
CCR’s proposals are structured around three strategic priorities:
- Preserving the balance between the roles of CCR, the State and insurers within a public-private partnership framework.
- Enhancing risk prevention and climate adaptation efforts.
- Establishing medium-term strategic guidelines to safeguard long-term insurability and ensure continued access to insurance coverage.
