Cigna Healthcare: Leah Cotterill, new CEO for Middle East and Africa

Leah Cotterill has been promoted to CEO of Cigna Healthcare for Africa and the Middle East (excluding Saudi Arabia). Based in Dubai, L. Cotterill succeeds Jérôme Droesch, who has been called to assume other functions within the company.

She is the first woman to head the American health insurance group's Emirati subsidiary.

L. Cotterill holds an Executive MBA from Hult International Business School (USA).

After more than nine years with AXA Health, L. Cotterill joined Cigna Healthcare in 2008, where she held a number of management positions in the United Arab Emirates and the United States.
