Southern China, particularly the Guangxi region, has been devastated by deadly floods triggered by extreme weather related yo Typhoon Maysak.
As of 9 July 2026, preliminary reports indicate that 39 people have died, nine remain missing, and more than 100 000 residents have been evacuated.
Overflowing rivers, submerged cars, uprooted trees, and destroyed homes are also among the typhoon’s aftermath.
Another major consequence, 900 venomous reptiles escaped from a snake farm.
