African Risk Capacity (ARC) is paying 3 376 783 USD to help the government of the Republic of Malawi cope with the impacts of the drought that occurred during the 2024/2025 agricultural season.
In preparation for the agricultural season, the country had taken out two insurance policies with ARC Ltd, insurance branch of the ARC Group. These policies generated compensation payments of 3 065 746 USD under a traditional sovereign insurance policy and 311 037 USD under an advance insurance policy.
