Ebrahim Sakhnini, new Director General of the Bahrain Insurance Association

Ebrahim Sakhnini has been appointed Director General of the Bahrain Insurance Association (BIA). The appointment came into effect on 1 January 2024.

E. Sakhnini has a background of over 20 years in the insurance industry. He has served in a number of senior positions with companies such as Trust Re, Medgulf, Zurich Insurance (Bahrain) and Aon Saudi.

Founded in 1994, BIA has nearly 50 members, including local and foreign insurance companies, reinsurers, brokers and service providers.
