The Egyptian compulsory motor insurance pool pays out more than 3 million USD in indemnities

The Egyptian pool dedicated to compulsory motor insurance has paid out 66.1 million EGP (3.4 million USD) in compensation related to serious accidents. This amount was paid out during the period between 8 August 2019 and 8 October 2022.

Over the past three years, there have been 382 serious road accidents in Egypt resulting in 1 378 deaths and 753 injuries.

It should be recalled that the pool was established in 2019 by the Egyptian Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA).
