Egyptian insurers urged to raise rates

Mohamed Farid, Chairman of the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA), is urging insurers to hike the rates of insurance policies in response to the increasing size of the risks they cover.

In recent years, the Egyptian insurance market has faced several risk factors including the Covid-19 pandemic, rising inflation, supply chain disruptions and the war in Ukraine.
