End of reinsurance monopoly

The Brazilian government is seeking an end to the state monopole over the reinsurance sector. The authorities will proceed to the privatization of the majority of the stakes it holds in the company Brazilian Reassurance Institute (IRB). This move will come into effect following the adoption of a new bill.
