Establishment of bancassurance in Uganda

A law introducing and supervising the activity of bancassurance has just been launched in Uganda. Banks will now be able to market insurance policies through their agencies.

The initiative which will give better access to insurance products is set to contribute to an increase in the penetration rate, estimated at 0.85% in 2015.
