First estimates of the fire in the shopping complex Chaouiya

On Monday, March 22nd, 2004, the Chaouya trade compound, located on Boulevard Mohammed VI ( former route Mediouna) has been consumed by a violent blaze, which destroyed numerous shops. According to the initial assessment, damages amount to 96 million DH (10.76 million USD). It is worth mentioning that only a third of the traders hit by the disaster were insured.
