Fitch Ratings affirms the SCR rating

Fitch Ratings confirms its AAA(mar) financial strength rating of the Société Centrale de Réassurance (SCR) with a stable outlook.

In 2019, the Moroccan reinsurer reported a combined ratio of 85%: an improvement of 7 points compared to 2018.

The Return on equity (ROE) remains relatively high at 11%. As expected for the entire market, such a rate is likely to deteriorate in 2020 due to the pandemic.
