Frédéric de Courtois, new President of Insurance Europe

Frédéric de Courtois, Deputy CEO of AXA, has been named President of the European insurance and reinsurance federation “Insurance Europe”, for a three-year term. He succeeds Andreas Brandstetter, Chairman and CEO of UNIQA Insurance Group (Austria).

F. de Courtois has over 25 years' experience in the insurance industry. He served in a variety of executive positions within the AXA Group. From 2016 to 2021, he occupied senior management positions at Generali, including that of Chief Executive Officer of the Italian group.

F. de courtois was also Vice President of Insurance Europe for three years (2019-2021).

The new President is a graduate of one of the most prestigious engineering schools, Télécom Paris, the Collège des Ingénieurs and the Institute of Actuaries.
