Gabonese insurance market: 2023 turnover

According to data published by the General Directorate of Economy and Fiscal Policy the Gabonese insurance market turnover reached 134.21 billion FCFA (225.8 million USD) in 2023, up 20.6% compared to the 111.26 billion FCFA (181.1 million USD) recorded in 2022.

Non-life premiums rose by 17.6% to 101.26 billion FCFA (170.4 million USD). They accounted for 75.4% of the total premiums written in 2023.

For its part, life insurance premiums grew by 30.9% to 32.95 billion FCFA (55.4 million USD), representing a market share of 24.6%.
