Generali Vie France has been ordered to pay 168 000 USD in damages to one of its former employees. This is in addition to 5 500 USD for violation of professional equality agreements and 5 500 USD for moral damage.
The pensioner in question filed a legal action after finding that she was paid less than her male colleagues. An injustice of almost 41 years.
The insurer Generali is one of the signatories in France of the agreements on professional equality. He has a score of 92/100 on the 2018 Gender Equality Index.
