Gilles Fromageot has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer of AXA Maroc and AXA CIMA (Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Gabon, Senegal).
Pending approval by the relevant authorities, this appointment will take effect on 24 February 2025.
G. Fromageot will be taking over from Meryem Chami, who is leaving AXA for personal reasons. M. Chami has been CEO of AXA Maroc and AXA CIMA since 2020. She also took over the reins of AXA Africa in 2023.
The new CEO has 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. He has held a number of senior positions with the French AXA Group in Spain, France, South Korea and Singapore. He is currently AXA XL's Regional Manager for Asia.
G. Fromageot holds an Executive MBA from IE Business School (Madrid).
