Hitesh Ramesh Chandra Joshi appointed Chairman and Managing Director of GIC Re

The General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC Re) has appointed Hitesh Ramesh Chandra Joshi as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), effective 16 June 2026.

Mr. Joshi will serve in this capacity until his scheduled retirement on 30 September 2028.

He had been acting as Interim Chairman and Managing Director since 1 October 2025, prior to his formal appointment.
