According to the American magazine Bloomberg, the British bank HSBC is examining the possibility of selling its French subsidiary HSBC Assurance Vie. However, the banking group declined to comment.
BNP Paribas, the BPCE group, Matmut, Groupama and Crédit Mutuel Arkéa are reportedly interested in acquiring HSBC Assurance Vie.
First bids are expected by the end of October 2024.
This transaction would help the bank refocus its European activities on corporate financing.
