HSBC Life Hong Kong issues the world's most expensive life insurance policy

HSBC Life Hong Kong, a subsidiary of the British HSBC Group, has broken the record for the most expensive life insurance policy ever sold.

The "Guinness World Record" officially confirmed this sale after verification on 22 February 2024.

Valued at 250 million USD, the policy was underwritten by an individual for personal wealth protection and estate planning purposes.

The previous "Guinness Book" world record was set in 2014 for a 201 million USD life insurance policy underwritten in California, USA.
