Increase of 2.7% of the insurance market

According to figures published by the Moroccan Federation of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies (FMSAR), the total turnover of the insurance industry grew by 2.7% to 26.7 billion MAD (3.2 billion USD) in 2013.

Decomposition of this figure is as follows:

• Non-life: 67.4%, amounting to 18.01 billion MAD (2.2 billion USD)
• Life: 32.1%, amounting to 8.6 billion MAD (1.04 billion USD)
• Reinsurance (acceptances): 0.5%, amounting to 131.9 million MAD (16 million USD)
