Increase of motor deductible

Some Saudi insurers have applied a 400% increase in motor deductibles which jumped from 1 000 SAR (266 USD) to 5 000 SAR (1 333 USD).

This increase is designed to mitigate the impact of the losses sustained by the insurance companies concerned.

As regulatory authorities did not define minimum deductible, the latter shall be set at the discretion of the insurers that use it to limit losses in this class of business.
