Jurie Strydom appointed new CEO of Old Mutual

Jurie Strydom, 49, has been promoted Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the pan-African Old Mutual group. He succeeds Iain Williamson, who will retire on 31 August 2025.

J. Strydom is currently an independent Non-Executive Director. He will be working closely with I. Williamson to ensure a smooth transition, and will officially assume his new role on 1 June 2025. I. Williamson will continue to advise and support the new CEO until his retirement.

J. Strydom has almost 30 years' experience in financial services and insurance. Throughout his professional career, he has held various senior positions with several South African companies, including Sanlam.

J. Strydom is a graduate of the University of Cape Town (South Africa), the Institute of Actuaries in London (UK), the CFA Institute (USA) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT, USA).
