The Swiss Helvetia Group has appointed Karina Schreiber as its new Group Chief Risk Officer (CRO), effective 1 October 2025. She will also join the company’s Board of Directors. Schreiber succeeds Bernhard Kaufmann, who has been named CRO of Swiss Re.
K. Schreiber has over 25 years' experience in the finance and insurance sector, including 12 years with Allianz.
Schreiber brings extensive expertise to her new role. She holds degrees from Otto von Guericke University in Magdeburg, Oxford University, and is a member of the German Association of Actuaries.
Following the planned merger between Helvetia and Baloise, set for April 2025, Schreiber will assume the position of CRO and Board Member of the newly formed Helvetia Baloise Group.
