Kenya Re has published its key business indicators for the year ended 31 December 2024.
Insurance revenue amounted to 14.2 billion KES (108.9 million USD), down 2.1% in original currency compared with the 14.5 billion KES (91.8 million USD) recorded a year earlier.
Insurance service result reached 2.95 billion KES (22.6 million USD) against 677 million KES (4.3 million USD) in 2023, marking a sharp 336% increase.
The resinurer's annual net result fell by 12% from 5 billion KES (31.7 million USD) in 2023 to 4.4 billion KES (33.8 million USD).
Kenya Re's assets and shareholders' equity stood at 66.8 billion KES (512.5 million USD) and 49.7 billion KES (381.3 million USD) respectively at end-December 2024.
