Lloyd's of London approved the creation of "Syndicate 1796", which specializes in the risk of storing and transporting the COVID-19 vaccine to emerging countries.
This new Lloyd's syndicate provides comprehensive insurance and risk management services for the manufacture and distribution of coronavirus vaccines. The objective is to ensure the protection of vaccines and other products when stored or transported by health systems.
The project is developed by the Parsyl data management platform. It will be managed by Acsot, a Lloyd's syndicate, in collaboration with AXA XL, the broker McGill and Partners and Gavi, an international organization that improves access to vaccines in low-income countries. “Syndicate 1796" will be operational as of 1 October 2020.
