MAPFRE merges its regional operations

MAPFRE has merged its EMEA regional activities (Europe, Middle East and Africa) with those of Asia Pacific. Both of these entities now stand as a single structure, operational as of 2018. Nikos Antimissaris, current general manager of EMEA, will be managing the new entity.

In the course of the first nine months of 2017, MAPFRE’s EMEA division reaped 1.39 billion EUR (1.64 billion USD) in premiums whereas the Asia Pacific entity generated 56.4 million EUR (66.5 million USD).
