Bahrain's Central Bank has published the results of the insurance sector. The gross premium volume has reached 118.16 million BHD (314 million USD) against 93.7 million BHD (249 million USD) in 2005, that is, a 26% increase. The market has 27 operators, 18 of which are local companies and 9 are foreign companies' subsidiaries.
