Motor claims on the rise in Oman

Preliminary statistics from Oman’s Financial Services Authority (FSA) show that insurers in the country received 22,000 motor insurance claims in the second quarter of 2026, representing a 7.2% increase year-on-year.

The total cost of these claims rose by 19% to 25.1 million OMR (65.1 million USD).

During the same period, 21,743 road accidents were recorded in Oman,15,850 of which were classified as minor and 5,893 as serious accidents.
