New bill for bancassurance

The Pakistani financial authorities presented a draft revision of the regulations governing bancassurance. The amendment provides for the improvement of sales procedures including the use of Urdu language in policies as well as a summary of the guarantees offered. Other measures are designed to strengthen the protection of policyholders who use this method of distribution. Between 2008 and 2012, bancassurance has grown at an average rate of 95 % per year.
