Romuald Kouassi has been appointed President of the Association of Insurance Companies of Côte d’Ivoire (ASA-CI), succeeding Mamadou G. K. KONE, who was elected President of the Federation of African National Insurance Companies (FANAF).
R. Kouassi is a graduate of the Institut National Polytechnique Félix Houphouët-Boigny in Yamoussoukro and the École Supérieure de Commerce d’Abidjan.
He began his professional career in 2002 as a Financial Auditor at Deloitte (Côte d’Ivoire).
In 2007, he joined Saham Assurance, where he held several executive roles over a 12-year period.
In 2019, he was appointed Managing Director of GNA Assurances CI.
As the second-largest company in the Ivorian non-life insurance market, GNA Assurances CI closed the 2025 fiscal year with a turnover of 45 billion CFA francs (80.7 million USD).
