SAMA is being restructured

The Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) has introduced a new organizational chart centered around five departments: administration, investment, research and international affairs, banking operations and supervision. It also inaugurated a new insurance control body called the General Department of Insurance Control (GDIC).
The GDIC is attached to the supervision department. These changes are designed to introduce new blood in SAMA and to train a competent management team. Insurance experts believe that this reorganization is the main important event of the last 30 years.
