Sanlam acquires 63% of Soras Group Ltd

The Sanlam Group acquired 63% stake in the group Soras, 1^st Rwandan insurer, for 24.3 million USD.

The acquisition of interests was conducted via Sanlam Emerging Markets (SEM), a subsidiary dedicated to the group's expansion in emerging countries.

The choice of Rwanda is motivated by the prospects of development of the country and its penetration rate of insurance.
