Separate insurance ventures for BNP Paribas and Prudential in China

French bank BNP Paribas has received the green light from the National Financial Regulatory Administration (NFRA) to establish a Chinese insurance joint venture with Volkswagen Financial Services.

The NFRA also granted US-based Prudential Financial the go-ahead to set up an insurance asset management business in Beijing.
