Seth Kobla Aklasi, new Acting CEO of Ghana Re

Seth Kobla Aklasi has joined Ghana Re as Acting CEO. He assumed his functions on 13 February 2025.

S. Aklasi boasts over 20 years' experience in the financial and insurance sector. Throughout his career, he held senior positions with several companies in Ghana, including International Energy Insurance (IEI), Enterprise Insurance Company, Priority Insurance and Donewell Insurance.

He is currently President of the Ghana Insurance Association (GIA), a member of the Client Rescue Fund Committee of the National Insurance Commission (NIC) and a member of the Academic Board of the West African Insurance Institute in The Gambia.

S. Aklasi is also an associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) in London and a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana (FCIIG).

He holds a Diploma in Insurance and Risk Management from Bayes Business School (London) and a BA in Social Sciences (Geography) from the University of Cape Coast (Ghana).
