Swiss Re: Beat Strebel promoted CEO Reinsurance China and China Country President

Swiss Re has promoted Beat Strebel to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Reinsurance China and China Country President. He succeeds Ivan Gonzalez, who has been appointed CEO of the Corporate Solutions subsidiary. The appointment is effective as of 1 July 2024.

A graduate of the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland) and Universidad Austral (Argentina), B. Strebel has more than 30 years of experience at Swiss Re, where he has occupied a wide range of senior positions.

He is currently Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa.
