Tesla's Real-Time Motor Insurance Gains Ground

In the United States, Tesla's real-time motor insurance* is now available in three more states, Colorado, Oregon and Virginia. Elon Musk's group may also introduce its insurance in June 2022 in Nevada. The administrative process has already been initiated with the local authorities.

Tesla insurance already operates in California. However, the brand must be authorized to collect and use the driving data of the insured.

* The real time mode allows the insurer to adjust the premium to the driving behavior of the insured.
