Three candidates in the running for FANAF presidency

The 50^th General Assembly of the Federation of African National Insurance Companies (FANAF) is taking place from 9 to 11 February 2026 in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire under the theme “FANAF’s 50^th anniversary: Building the future of African insurance.”

The event brings together key industry stakeholders and will be marked by the election of a new FANAF President to succeed the current head, César Ekomie-Afene, who has led the Federation since 2020.

Three industry leaders are running for the position:

• Evelyne Fassinou: Chair of the Board of Directors of SUNU Assurances Vie Bénin and Member of the FANAF Executive Committee.
• Mamadou Faye: CEO of SEN Assurance Vie (Senegal) and Vice-President of FANAF.
• Mamadou G. K. Koné: CEO of SanlamAllianz Côte d’Ivoire and President of the Association of Insurance Companies of Côte d’Ivoire (ASACI).
