Wafa Assurance: 2022 results

Wafa Assurance's consolidated turnover has increased by 18.9% in 2022. The premium volume went up from 9.785 billion MAD (1.05 billion MAD) in 2021 to 11.639 billion MAD (1.09 billion MAD) a year later.

Life underwritings progressed by 25% to reach 6.626 billion MAD (624.7 million USD) as at 31 December 2022. As for the non-life activity, it has posted an 11.8% growth in the annual premium income to 5.013 billion MAD (472.6 million USD).

At the end of the past year, the consolidated technical reserves stood at 45 billion MAD (4.2 billion USD) while the investment income amounted to 49.5 billion MAD (4.7 billion USD).
