West P&I Club sets up in the United Arab Emirates

West P&I Club, a global provider of marine insurance, has opened an office in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). This is its seventh overseas office, following those in Hong Kong, London, Luxembourg, New York, Piraeus (Greece) and Singapore.

Establishing a presence in the United Arab Emirates makes the insurer the first club in the International Group (IG) to operate in the Middle East.

Headed by Gagan Dhillon, the new structure is dedicated to processing claims and managing relations with partners in the United Arab Emirates, the Gulf region and the Indian subcontinent.
