Tesla launches real-time insurance in Nevada

TeslaTesla insurance has been granted approval to market its real-time motor insurance policy in Nevada. The offer is based on collecting driving data such as hard braking, collision warnings, safe distance and speed through turns to define the premium to be paid.

Since its creation in 2019, Elon Musk's insurance company has managed to roll out its offer in eight U.S. states, namely Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Ohio, Oregon, Texas, Virginia and finally Nevada.

It was in California that Tesla launched its real-time offer. However, this system is only used for educational purposes, as the company has not yet been granted the right to use the data collected in this state to determine insurance premiums.
