The Versailles hospital center victim of a cyber attack

On the evening of Saturday, 3 December 2022, the Versailles hospital center, located in Chesnay-Rocquencourt in the Yvelines department, fell victim to a cyberattack.

As a security measure, the hospital shut down its computer system and limited patient intake. A crisis unit has also been set up.

The computer attack targeted the entire hospital center, including the André-Mignot hospital, the Despagne retirement home and the Richaud hospital in Versailles.

This hacking attempt is reminiscent of the one at the Sud Francilien Hospital Center (CHSF) in Corbeil-Essonnes, which occurred on 22 August 2022. The attack was followed by a 10 million USD ransom demand.
