U.S. non-life reinsurance market: turnover as at 30 September 2022

The Reinsurance Association of America (RAA) has published the quarterly activity indicators of 17 non-life reinsurers. As at 30 September 2022, these American reinsurers have recorded a global turnover of 77.4 billion USD, which represents a 7.5% increase compared to the same period in 2021.

The ranking by company makes National Indemnity, a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, the market leader with 25.9 billion USD of written premiums during the first nine months of 2022.

Endurance Assurance and Everest Reinsurance come in second and third positions with respective turnovers of 7.9 billion USD and 7.5 billion USD.
