AXA: 2022 half-year results and launch of a share buy-back program

AXA FranceAXA has recorded, as at 30 June 2022, a 2.4% increase in its turnover which reached 55.141 billion EUR (57.8 billion USD) compared to 53.865 billion EUR (64.122 billion USD) during the same period in 2021.

The operating result progressed by 8% to stand at 3.918 billion EUR (4.1 billion USD) at the end of the first half of 2022. The half-yearly net profit of 4.108 billion EUR (4.3 billion USD) has grown by 3% over one year.

AXA estimated the impact of the Russian-Ukrainian war at 300 million EUR (314.67 million USD).

The group's solvency ratio amounted to 227%, increasing by 10 points compared to 31 December 2021.

Following these results, AXA's Board of Directors has approved the launch of a share buy-back program for a maximum amount of 1 billion EUR (1.05 billion USD).

During the first half of 2022, the French insurer has finalized two share buy-back programs for a total value of 2.2 billion EUR (2.3 billion USD).
