Insurance intermediaries' commissions in India: new regulations

courtiers d’assuranceThe Indian regulator (IRDAI) is now allowing insurers to set an overall limit on the amount of commissions paid to insurance intermediaries.

The regulator has thus replaced the former individual limit with a global limit on insurers' management expenses.

This decision, which will take effect on 1 April 2023, will allow insurance companies to be more flexible in their expense management.
