Damaan Islamic Insurance Company to become a publicly held company

Damaan Islamic Insurance Company (Beema)At an Extraordinary General Meeting held on 30 November 2022, the shareholders of Damaan Islamic Insurance Company (Beema) have approved the application to convert the company into a publicly held company. Beema had previously been a privately held company.

Through this conversion, the Qatari insurer intends to apply for listing on the Main Market of the Qatar Stock Exchange.

The transaction is still pending the approval of the relevant authorities.

Damaan Islamic Insurance Company was established in 2009 by five shareholders: Qatar Islamic Bank, Qatar Insurance Company, Masraf Al Rayan, Barwa Real Estate Company and QInvest.
