Helvetia: 2022 results

The Swiss insurance group Helvetia has ended the financial year 2022 with a 1.1% drop in its turnover to 11.097 billion CHF (12 billion USD).

Non-life premiums totaled 6.965 billion CHF (7.5 billion USD) against 4.132 billion CHF (4.5 billion USD) for the life class of business. The non-life combined ratio has improved by 0.1 point to reach 94.7%.

The net profit went up by 18.2% to stand at 614.4 million CHF (665.2 million USD) compared to the 519.8 million CHF (567.9 million USD) posted in 2021.

The company's Board of Directors is proposing a dividend of 5.9 CHF (6.4 USD) per share in 2022 against 5.5 CHF (6 USD) in 2021.
