Assurances Maghrebia and Maghrebia Vie: 2022 provisional results

The life and non-life insurance subsidiaries of the Maghrebia group have published their provisional results for the year 2022.

As at 31 December 2022, the non-life entity, Assurances Maghrebia, posted a turnover of 223.348 million TND (71.131 million USD), representing an 8.56% increase (in Tunisian dinars) compared to the same period in 2021. The non-life activity is dominated by health insurance which accounted for 37.3% of the premium income in 2022.

The net non-life incurred losses went up by 5.37% to reach 108.020 million TND (34.402 million USD).

During the period under review, the financial income stood at 24.217 million TND (7.712 million USD), growing by 24.15% over a year.

For its part, Maghrebia Vie has recorded a 13.05% progression in its annual written premiums reaching 105.318 million TND (33.541 million USD). The net incurred losses totaling 42.104 million TND (13.409 million USD) went up by 17.39%.

The financial income stood at 35.568 million TND (11.328 million USD), showing a 13.7% improvement over twelve months.

For the year 2023, Assurances Maghrebia and Maghrebia Vie are banking on respective turnovers of 241.75 million TND (89.553 million USD) and 113.1 million TND (36.831 million USD).
