Zitouna Takaful: 2021 results

In 2021, Zitouna Takaful has recorded a 20% increase, in local currency, in its annual turnover to 81.2 million TND (28.2 million USD).

Non-life premiums (General Takaful Fund) progressed by 13% to reach 59.3 million TND (20.6 million USD). On the other hand, the life class of business (Family Takaful Fund) has posted a premium income of 21.9 million TND (7.6 million USD), showing a 45.8% growth over a year.

The incurred losses went from 24.2 million TND (8.9 million USD) as at 31 December 2020 to 34.2 million TND (11.9 million USD) by the end of 2021, growing by 41.3%.

The annual net profit of 5.57 million TND (1.9 million USD) represents a 2.6% improvement compared to the 5.427 million TND (2.002 million USD) accounted for in 2020.
