Drought in Zambia: ARC and AfDB pay 5.3 million USD in compensation

Drought in ZambiaAfrican Risk Capacity (ARC) and the African Development Bank (AfDB) have granted 5.3 million USD to help the Zambian government recover from the severe drought experienced during the 2021-2022 agricultural season.

This funding will enable the country to better support communities affected by the natural disaster by providing monetary and food assistance.

The payment was made under Zambia's drought insurance policy.
