Concerns about the extension of health coverage are also very strong. Finally professionals hope that this project will lead to a tax system favorable to savings and thus to insurance. The sector accounts for 20 billion MAD (2.5 billion USD) of premiums in 2009 with 90 billion MAD (11.5 billion USD) of technical reserves and 91 billion MAD (11.6 billion) of net investments.
